Card Deactivation Scam

Attention all credit union members:

The following ‘phishing’ scam is being e-mailed to credit union members and is not from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) or Memorial Credit Union.  DO NOT provide any information. CUNA or Memorial Credit Union will NEVER solicit e-mails requesting your credit union username, password, account number, pin number, or other personal identity information.  If you have provided any of the above information to the ‘phishing’ site, please notify us immediately.

This matter is being pursued with the appropriate authorities.

Example of scam:

Your card has been deactivated

For your security, we have disabled your card and PIN.

To activate your card and PIN please call our “Card Activation Line” at 1-800-587-9804.

If you have any questions, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-587-9804.

Please do not reply to this e-mail.
